Another stunning swim in our beautiful river
we set off from just below the bridge in Pangbourne entering the river from the meadow
The swim was lovely as we set off before sunset so we had blue skies and sunshine for most of the swim
The river is quite wide here in comparison to the upper reaches which were narrow in most parts
We meandered down passing (enviously)people having sundowner Gin and Tonics on their boats
The river appeared very clean and devoid of rubbish which was a pleasant surprise
We passed through beautiful countryside and some stunning riverside homes
There was plenty of wildlife including Swans who were presumably guarding their nests as we were not welcome in their vicinity!
The swim finished at Purley lock which provided a safe exit point
The swim was just under 4K and was finished in just over 1 hour
