Fiona, Susan & Laura joined 11 of their Henley Open Water Swimming Club friends at the Welsh Winter Swim, Lake Padarn, Llanderis, Snowdonia.
We all took part in various distance swims: 50 m heads up, 50 m challenge (any stroke), 100 m heads up & challenge, 250 m heads up and challenge and finally the 500 m challenge.
The weather was brutal, we had gusts of up to 50 mph, sideways rain and even a hailstorm! The water was around 6 degrees, but the outside temperature was Baltic!
There were a few medals collected, 3 golds, and a bronze.
We all had a great time, and have decided our swimming adventures are all about friendship, inclusivity and fun!
